Cops ask questions. It is how they are trained. It is what we expect of them. They are supposed to do more than accept things at face value. They are not supposed to simply believe everything that is told to them. Lying to the police is such a frequent reality, that the United States Congress made it a crime to lie to the Federal Bureau Investigation and other federal agents. While local police officers do not enjoy such legal protections, they are supposed to examine the evidence to see if it measures up before they act. So, why then are so many government officials and media “experts” frustrated that police officers are among those people asking questions about the efficacy, effectiveness, and risks of the experimental Covid-19 vaccines? Well, pandemic politics have spread at least as quickly as the virus associated with the Wuhan research lab.

According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, more than 460 law enforcement officers have died across the nation with complications associated with the Covid-19 virus. Chicago Lodge 7 of the Fraternal Order of Police, and other bargaining units representing Chicago Police Department (CPD) supervisors continue to express issues with the manner in which the city has imposed a vaccine mandate. The mandates have been an issue across the country, because questions remain about the need (particularly for those with natural immunity), efficacy (as the vaccines neither stop those vaccinated from getting or transmitting the virus), and unprecedented risks of the experimental vaccines themselves.
Cops Ask Questions, Just the Facts
Cops ask questions. They search for facts. They seek to find and to be told the truth. Actor Jack Webb for two decades portrayed Sergeant Joe Friday, an uncompromising and skilled Los Angeles Police Department detective. In Dragnet, Sgt. Friday epitomized this desire for unvarnished truth with his often repeated line: “Just the facts.”
If Sergeant Friday was investigating the appropriateness of vaccine mandates, he would ask questions. If he was interviewing a government official over vaccine mandates, like Mayor Lori Lightfoot, he would likely say: “Just the facts ma’am.” Below are a list of questions that might be asked. Many police officers, firefighters, teachers, airline pilots, cooks, clerks, and construction workers, as well as doctors and nurses are asking many questions.
Some “Cops Asks Questions” Questions
- If the vaccines work, why are those people who are vaccinated at risk from the unvaccinated?
- If the vaccines work, how can the vaccinated spread the virus?
- If the vaccines work, and with about 60% of all Americans above age 12 fully vaccinated, why are COVID-19 cases up?
- Why do the same government officials pushing vaccine mandates continue to simultaneously push masking requirements, and even lockdowns of the healthy, when such efforts have shown to be ineffective at best?
- What happened to the “my body, my choice” advocates among our elected officials?
- What about the adverse impact from vaccines, including the worst vaccine unexplained death numbers ever?
- Why do the vaccine mandates ignore natural immunity, which is far more (like 26 times more) effective than the Covid-19 vaccines?
- By December 2020, one-third of Americans had already recovered from Covid. So why do they need to assume the risks of the experimental vaccines?
- Are the Covid vaccines, leaky, spreading the virus itself to younger portions of the population that before the vaccines were relatively unaffected by the actual virus?
- What about the increased speed at which the virus is mutating, as mass vaccination during a pandemic poses such a dangerous risk?
- What about the long-term risks from the experimental vaccines? The data to begin to truly answer these questions will not be available for years. Are healthy individuals that are forced to vaccinate to just hope for the best? What about children and pregnant mothers, might there be generational consequences?
- What about the Nuremberg Code, which forbids forcing people to participate in medical experiments? (See the “side bar” below for more on this point.)
- Why the lack of government support for therapeutic approaches to address the virus in its early and more easily treated stages?
- Why the insistence on forcing even healthy people to move forward in the experimental approach when the recovery rate from the actual virus is around 99%?
- Like in all good investigations, it is wise to ask: who benefits?
Stripping Questioning Officers of Their Police Powers
Despite the objections of union officials, on Monday, at the orders of the mayor, CPD began to enforce the city’s vaccine mandate process. Step One, declare your vaccine status to the city. Those officers not declaring their status are being stripped of their police authority, and they are being placed in a “no-pay” status. Those officers are then being given a direct order to comply or face disciplinary action up to termination. So much for “non-disciplinary” approaches. Officers indicating that they are not vaccinated, must submit to twice weekly testing – for now. Further the testing is to be at the officer’s own expense and on the officer’s own time. The city has indicated that the “testing option” will end on 31 December 2021. It is interesting to note, unvaccinated Chicago Public School employees are required only to test weekly, and can do so without cost at their work site.
A View From Montana

Secure 1776 could do without the “donuts” line, but we acknowledge that COVID-19 is a virus that is most dangerous to individuals with underlying health conditions. Violence Versus Virus
On 18 October 2021, Chicago Alderman Brian Hopkins took note of Chicago’s violence and the vaccine mandate approach of the city. As Mayor Lori Lightfoot pushed forward with threats of job loses for police officers not in compliance with her mandate, another Chicago police officer was shot in the face. Miraculously, the shot went through the officer’s cheek. But as noted by Alderman Hopkins, while “not life threatening” the wound (which could easily been fatal) was “life changing.”
The Nuremberg Code
In modern politics, far too often hyperbolic references are made to Nazi Germany and their atrocities committed before and during World War II. However, in truth, among the horrors committed by that regime were medical experiments on human beings without their consent. Quoting from the Holocaust Encyclopedia: “From 1933 to 1945, Nazi Germany carried out a campaign to ‘cleanse’ German society of individuals viewed as biological threats to the nation’s ‘health.’ The Nazis enlisted the help of physicians and medically trained geneticists, psychiatrists, and anthropologists to develop racial health policies. These policies began with the mass sterilization of many people in hospitals and other institutions and ended with the near annihilation of European Jewry.” The Nazis also conducted cruel experiments seeking to test human endurance and suffering levels against countless concentration camp victims.
Following the war, the allied powers conducted war crimes tribunals to hold accountable those Nazi officials who perpetrated “crimes against humanity.” Among the outcomes from the tribunals was the establishment of the Nuremberg Code, which established 10 standards relative to human medical experimentation. In a 1996 British Medical Journal article, the code was summarized as follows: “the requirement of voluntary informed consent of the human subject. The principle of voluntary informed consent protects the right of the individual to control his own body.” It bears noting and repeating, all three Covid-19 vaccines currently in use in America remain experimental.

“The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted; all inconveniences and hazards reasonably to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment. The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs, or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity.”

“During the course of the experiment the scientist in charge must be prepared to terminate the experiment at any stage, if he has probable cause to believe, in the exercise of the good faith, superior skill and careful judgment required of him, that a continuation of the experiment is likely to result in injury, disability, or death to the experimental subject.“
UPDATE: Court Temporary Restraining Order Issued
On 1 November 2021, Cook County Circuit Court Judge Raymond Mitchell issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) relating to Mayor Lightfoot’s vaccine mandate policy. The most relevant portion of the judge’s ruling is captured below.
Judge Mitchell left in place the requirement for CPD members to declare to the department their Covid-19 vaccination status. However, as indicated above, the judge barred the city from mandating the taking of the vaccine as a condition of continued employment without collective bargaining with the member unions. As such, the 31 December 2021 deadline for vaccination is blocked, until the matter is resolved by the collective bargaining process. The TRO is a significant victory, if only a temporary one, for those CPD members resistant to being forced to take the disputed Covid-19 vaccines.
